Full stack software engineer with experience using React, JavaScript, Node, Postgres, HTML & CSS to build web apps.

I have a background in art and social work and a passion for logic, math, and patterns. I'm lucky enough to be based in Minneapolis, Minnesota. I am looking forward to finding a position in web development that fosters a growth mindset and creative collaboration.

When I am not coding, you can find me weaving on my eight shaft kessenich loom, laughing with friends, or dreaming of my next big outdoor adventure.

I worked with Rebecca 1:1 as her mentor during her course at Thinkful. She is a very curious learner and a pleasant person to work with. She started with basic javascript and within a span of 6 months, she made sure she understood programming concepts thoroughly to build test-driven apps with node, express and react. She built her course projects with database querying. She is very good at pair programming, a keen observer and a contributor which I believe is a necessary skill to work well in dev-teams.

She is never shy to ask for clarification and more context if things are unclear at the same time she can identify natural flows and can act without needing step by step instructions when it comes to building apps. I'm sure she'll be an asset to any team she's going to work with. Rebecca is very articulate, she always starts with pen and paper planning before she starts development. She never missed a mentor session and she was always ready to work on the next app, feature or bug.

Rebecca possess significant practical knowledge and within no time I believe she can rise to the challenge of being a core part of any team. With her skills and logical thinking, she'd be a great developer to work with and she comes with my highest recommendation.

The Get Dressed Club

The Get Dressed Club a self-care full-stack CRUD app for friends to take care of themselves and each other during quarantine. Users can get outfit themes for the day, submit daily logs of their self-care routine, and offer or ask for support if they are struggling. Built with React.js, Node, Postgres, Knex, & Formik. The app is designed to be reminiscent of the early 2000s internet to give users a nostalgic feel and remind them of when we were kids and did not have such big worries.
